Traveling to Punta Cana
White beaches, sparkling water and gentle breezes make Punta Cana a tempting destination in the Dominican Republic. As I explore vacation options, the area’s tropical scenery and fun activities make it an interesting choice. From snorkeling near coral reefs to exploring the area on a helicopter tour, Punta Cana has a variety of options that can help rejuvenate the soul.
It is not difficult to find a place to stay in Punta Cana that can help you escape the constant ringing of a smartphone or annoying social media updates. The area welcomes families and has child-friendly activities that can help everyone forget their modern day woes. The Barceló Punta Cana resort is one of the destinations offering the chance to relax in luxury. Multiple swimming pools, special activities for children and the chance to experience the trapeze make scheduling a fun day for the entire family easy. The options can range from enjoying a spa treatment or taking an excursion to learn sailing, and you do not have to walk far in this paradise or worry about your meals since they are included.
The swaying palm trees may tempt you to stay on the white beaches for hours and bake in the sun. However, Punta Cana has more to offer than swimming in the clear waters or playing in the sand. Exploring the area will reveal mountains, waterfalls, shipwrecks and other treasures that are waiting to be discovered. It is possible to take tours on helicopters, motorbikes, buggies or buses to reach places such as the Marinarium water park or the Seaquarium scuba diving experience.
Punta Cana gives visitors the chance to swim with dolphins at Dolphin Island which is a floating platform in the water. If you prefer to avoid the marine life and stay closer to land, then places like Imagine Disco will let you experience the Caribbean nightlife with a twist because this club is inside a cave. Punta Cana also has active golf courses that allow you to enjoy the beauty of the landscape while playing 18 holes.
It is easy to escape into the tropical gardens surrounding the hotel or take a walk among the coconut palm trees lining the beaches. Environmentally-conscious travelers are also able to enjoy excursions with the special Segway tour without worrying about their vacation hurting the local area. This tour takes visitors through the city and lets them cool off at a beach in the end while keeping a promise to stay environmentally friendly.
All of the fun activities in Punta Cana will probably leave a family ravenous at the end of the day, but fortunately there are multiple dining options. From Japanese cuisine to traditional Dominican recipes, there are restaurants to fit every palate. A huge selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options is available for the picky eaters. Additionally, drink and snack bars allow visitors to grab a quick meal before dashing to the next activity on the schedule. Punta Cana has an answer to everyone’s needs during mealtime.
