    Hot Air Balloon Hits Roadway

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rickdembow77 saw this while walking his dog Sunday, a tour balloon flying extremely low. 'As close as 100 feet above me I could see the tourists inside the basket looking down. Then the pilot throttled up the flame to lift the helium and I could see the balloon lift up and move away. Then a minute or so later the ballon drifting downward again flying very close over several other homes. The balloon was hovering over Dry Creek Road in Sedona for a minute or so apparently out of lift so the pilot made the decision to drop down onto the roadway narrowly missing a high tension line before settling right in the middle of the road. Traffic came to a halt as members of the tour company chase vehicle helped secure the balloon with lines until it was fully deflated and removed from the roadbed. No injuries were sustained and the tourist passengers seemed to be smiling while enjoying the ride of their lives.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

A hot air ballon from Red Rock Balloon Adventures in Sedona AZ landed in the middle of Dry Creek Road early this morning blocking traffic and spooking the tour passengers aboard. The ballon narrowly missed a high tension line. No injuries were sustained when the ballon set down on the roadway as the pilot navigated a heavily forested area after loosing lift.
