This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Protests around the world

    Protest in Hongkong

I witnessed a protest in Hong Kong this morning. Joining today's protests were residents from different jobs and of different ages, applying for the voting rights of themselves. As a high school student in China mainland, I've never heard any protests here, not to mention witnessed one. Things are so different in Hong Kong. I met a really old man(looks like over 90) later in the subway. He wore the protest T-shirt and talked a lot about the politics in Hong Kong. I could actually feel the strong willingness of being part of the society which I never saw from anyone around me back in China mainland.
