    Mosul Dam Failure Computer Simulation

Mosul Dam Breach! I am a hydraulic engineer who specializes in computer modeling of dam failures. I have constructed a computer model of a hypothetical Mosul Dam failure and the preliminary results are disturbing. The City of Mosul will be inundated by up to 25 meters of water within 4 hours of initiation of a breach at Mosul Dam. I can present inundation maps and animations of the progression of the flood along with probabilities of various inundation levels along the possible flood path. This may be of interest to your viewing audience.

I am an expert in dam breach modeling and teach classes on the subject to professional engineers through the American Society of Civil Engineers. I'm a registered professional engineer and a Diplomate of Water Resources Engineering. I know what I'm talking about. You can look me up. A dam breach of Mosul Dam would be a man-made disaster of unprecedented proportions.

If you would like to discuss this and if my inundation maps and animations are of interest to you please contact me at cgoodell@westconsultants.com or 503-793-2700.
