#Mike Brown Shooting - Frozen; I could only reflect
Saturday (Sabbath) 9 August 2014
I was unusually tired that morning. One of those restless nights. I managed to get out the house by 11:47am delivering cosmetics to a customer down in the city in my old hood.
After arriving I discovered from my customer that a young man was shot down in the streets at 12 noon, broad daylight by a police officer. My customer was devastated. So was I. She told me it happened out in Ferguson off West Florissant.
I later discovered the officer was white. Aware of the history of this city and region a pit formed in the bottom of my stomach as I navigated the many small little villages down Lucas and Hunt Rd. headed back to Florissant via Ferguson.
Frozen; I could only reflect how I decided to go down N. Florissant to the city instead of West Florissant at the precise time of the horrible occurrence.
