Hands Up Don't Shoot is the Wrong Message
"Hands up; don't shoot" is the wrong message for the wrong time. It is provacative and polarizing. What we need is a rhetoric which better reflects the one and only inner ecology of the Spirit, a rhetoric which connects everyone.
Shortly after the Treyvon Martin killing, I travelled to Atlanta, for a Commemorative Weed Out Hate Ceremony with local membrers of Rainbow Push, SCLC, and NAN.
Rising to the Mountain Top is learning the art of tranforming our inner rage into connective spirituality and "weed out hate" gives us a method for extending the experience into our daily lives.
