While visiting Yellowstone National Park this summer my daughter and I came across this bull elk on the side of the road. I decided against good judgement to step out of the car and go behind the other side of the car so I could get a better picture. While shooting the elk he started moving closer and closer. My daughter kept telling me "Get In The Car". Eventually as he made his way closer I had no choice but to jump in the back seat of the car. Once he saw that I was no longer outside he slowly drifted away. The encounter was a little to close for comfort. I consider it a lesson learned.
