    A night at a protest in Islamabad


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sa'adia Khan has been covering the anti-government protests in Islamabad, Pakistan, for the past several days. She documented a crowd of protesters on August 21 that were demanding the current prime minister Nawaz Sharif resign from office. The demands for his removal were sparked after claims arose of vote-rigging during last year's election.

    Pakistan Awami Tehreek [PAT] and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf [PTI] are in to the eighth night of their sit-in [protest]. The third night at Constitution Avenue in front of the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges in the Red Zone.


    Despite the heavy rain fall large groups of people arrive to witness and participate in the events unfolding. Many hundreds and thousands of these protesters have marched from Lahore to Islamabad for their voices to be heard by the Government of Pakistan.


    Imran Khan, leader of PTI is calling for PM Nawaz Sharif [PMLN - Pakistan Muslim League Noon] to resign.


    The crowd is chanting GO SHARIF GO.
