The best of Denmark comes to California

Years ago, I was looking at acquiring new furniture and I found a group of designers from Denmark who were beyond anything I’d seen before.

Hans Wegner, Kaare Klint, Ole Wanscher, Arne Vodder, Finn Juhl and Arne Jacobsen topped the list of craftsmen. I investigated a bit more and found these men were celebrated throughout Europe and have received every major furniture design award available in Europe. Several have received more than one award in the same category. They are all identified as true master craftsmen and their work has inspired legions of other designers.

The quality of the work is unsurpassed. Real wood, only the finest fabrics and leathers and precision joining represent the best of Old World craftsmanship. After seeing their work, I decided the West Coast needed to see these works of functional art, so I opened Denmark 50 in Los Angeles. No one has to travel to Denmark any more to invest in the furniture that sits in palaces through Europe. The showroom receives regular shipments of new designs and classic work regularly.

This furniture is more that just something to sit on or around. Each piece speaks of individuality and carries a sense of elegance and pride that is just not found in pressed wood, mass-produced furniture made in South American sweat shops. The pride of workmanship is evident in each piece.

Whether you are interested in a single chair or a complete suite for a room, these Danish designers have something that will fit your decor.
