Bakerville University Launches its Annual Health Awareness Webinar 2014

In the spirit of promoting healthy lifestyles among its students, faculty and staff, Bakerville University recently conducted its Annual Health Awareness Webinar 2014. Prominent health specialists attended the event; speaking about the habits people can adopt to bring about a positive change in their lives.

Speaking at the event, Beatrice G. McIntire, Dean of School of Nursing at BU, stated, “The aim of this awareness campaign was to raise awareness, improve and sustain the health status of the students, faculty and population. Furthermore, the people at BU resonate the message we’re trying to convey on to everyone that they interact with. We’ve gathered some of the best doctors and physicians in the medical field to guide these people to bring about a positive transformation in the society we live in.”

The webinar focused on making prominent the importance and value of keeping track of one’s health as we go about our extremely busy lives involving work and study schedules. It is very common for individuals to falter in taking care of their own health as they go about chasing their dreams. The session focused on simple and practical tips that one can easily follow on a daily basis that will benefit them greatly and not affect their work schedule. Some of these tips were as simple as drinking lots of water, cutting down on junk food, short exercises every morning and evening and diet plans among many things.

This webinar sought to provide simple yet vital information that are an integral part of keeping good health. The webinar was hailed by the students as well as renowned nutritionists and health experts, some of which are a part of the faculty of the School of Health Sciences at the university. This webinar spoke volumes about how the management at the university not only strive to expose students to the world but also provide access to ways they can groom and develop themselves physically as well as mentally and face the challenges head-on.
