    Ancient Ruins at the Tiber

The fabled and historic Tiber that cuts through Rome showcases remnants of the masonry dating back to the time of the Roman Empire in the ruins of the Pons Aemilius which is now known as the Ponte Rotto (broken bridge). More than once have I stopped to look at its classic features that bring me back to its ancient milieu--and indeed makes me affirm Rome's epithet: eternal.
