The 9-11 Anniversary is coming soon…Is Anyone Worried?
Last year the Benghazi attack took place on 9-11; the date may have been a coincidence but most likely it was a demonstration of power, a demonstration of our nation’s vulnerability, or something else that has yet come to light.
ISIS is currently threatening to attack the US and normally I would not be worried, but I came across a headline yesterday about a US citizen who was killed after he left the country to fight for ISIS.
I am still dumbfounded that any US citizen could be drawn to ISIS and what they represent. Can you imagine joining a group that is comfortable killing children, chopping off people’s heads and doing horrible disgusting things to women on purpose? Leaving the relative easy life in the US to go and live and fight alongside people who have no respect for human life seems insane to me. While things are not perfect in the US…they are pretty darn good and to abandon that seems pretty crazy to me.
Our president seems to be playing the bumbling leader who golfs while ISIS gains power and declares on TV that he has no strategy to deal with ISIS and Syria. Is this a ploy, so that ISIS will not see an attack coming from the US because they think our president is distracted? Are we trying to make this terrorist group think we are weak so that we can surprise them with our strength or are we as weak and unsure as we seem?
Will you wake on 9-11 and be filled with dread or am I making much ado about nothing?
