Back on West Florissant today, many, many people came out to show solidarity and support to the family of Mike Brown. There were so many generations of people there, Grandfathers with grandsons, mothers with sons and daughters, elders of the community and individuals from all over the United States. It was peaceful, the rain came and it did not let up but the March continued. The feeling of a large group of people all coming together for is a good cause because there is still a mother without her baby. It's a good cause because there is a wake up for people to respect people. There is a war cry "No Justice, No Peace," "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" that will echo in my head for the rest of my life. I am human, this situation is about humans and equality and justice and color and creed. St. Louis has to grow, St. Louis has to get a new mentality. St. Louis needs to come together everyday and not just when tragedy strikes.
