Dean Graziosi Raises $100,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
Dean Graziosi is an accomplished real estate investor and is a two-time New York Times best-selling author. Dean like many others this summer was nominated for the ALS Ice Bucket challenge and took this opportunity to not only donate to the ALS Association but also help raise awareness for another charity he is very fond of, The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Dean had vowed to donate one dollar for every like his video receives and two dollars for every share it gets, up to $100,000. At the time of writing his video has already been shared forty four thousand times and has received over thirty three thousand likes. Through his efforts and everyone who contributed to making this video go viral Dean has achieved his goal of donating one hundred thousand dollars but urges people to continue sharing and liking this video. The purpose was not just to raise money for this foundation but to also help bring awareness and let people know about the charity and their efforts. The ALS Association recently announced that the Ice Bucket Challenge raised over one hundred million dollars in donations from the online video’s success. Enough can’t be said about the far reaching effects the video has had on the organization and Dean would like to help extend the thoughtfulness and generosity of people to other charitable foundations.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation helps children with life threatening medical conditions by granting their wishes. Their mission statement: “We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy”. The wishes this organization grants helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. It often acts as the turning point in their battle for life and provides many with the mental and physical will to continue facing these challenges. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has helped many people since it was founded in 1980 and currently grants a wish approximately every thirty eight minutes. Dean Graziosi’s twist in his summer ALS Ice Bucket challenge, also donating five thousand dollars to the ALS Association, is a generous and cleaver way to help bring awareness to other charities.
In keeping the tradition alive Dean Graziosi nominates three others to take the challenge and “spread the love”, as he puts it. His nominations include Anthony “Tony” Robbins who is a self-help author, motivational speaker, and well-known life coach. He also nominates Brendon Burchard, a New York Times best-selling author and Joe Polish, an expert marketer for both business owners and entrepreneurs. Dean’s video is powerful and entertaining and lets his two children take the honor of pouring ice cold water over his head. Dean concludes the video with this compelling quote “Guys, let’s make a difference for thousands of kids, share now!”
