There has been many allegations that Joe Teti lied about his military service. As a Green Beret myself, I took this very seriously. I began my investigation and found that the official documents for the Department of Defense supported all of his claims. After seeing the documents first hand I searched the web and found documents that were clearly forged to meet an agenda to slander Joe Teti in the effort to get the Dual Survival reality show off the air. I found this very puzzling. He clearly did not violate the Stolen Valor Act signed by congress, so what is the motive to hurt this individual? I investigated who and why someone would spend so much time to discredit a man who served his county with honor.
My investigation led me to Mike Penny. AKA: Myke Hawk, Myke Hawkeye, Mykel Hawk, Mykel Hawkeye, Mykel Hawk Pierce. He also had a reality show on Discovery. It was canceled due to low ratings. The show was called “Man, Woman, Wild”. He claims that Joe is a solen valor candidate. However, the individual that runs the official page states Joe is not a candidate.
As a result, a number of individuals have created Blogspot pages with forged documents to trick the viewers that the fake Stolen Valor sites created with the forged documents are real.
Joe Teti states he is a combat vet of an Elite Counter Terrorism Unit of the US Government and never said he was in the military at that time. Since he cannot say the agency, but let’s make a hypothetical situation. During the war in Afghanistan during the 80’s. Many Federal Government units fought and died. Those deaths resulted in an anonymous star at Langley, VA. Would they be considered combat Veterans? I think so.
Folks, what it boils down to is money and hurt egos. In part two, I will disclose the official documentation from the government so you can see for yourself.
