CNN PRODUCER NOTE     “Everything around us made us feel so small, so this was our way of feeling 'big' again,” says Scootsbrown, who posed for this shot at Dead Horse State Park in Utah earlier this month.
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

Last October ('14), my wife and I flew to Denver and rented an RV and drove to Utah to see Arches National Park. This was during the time when the Federal Government closed the National Parks, so stayed instead at nearby Dead Horse State Park. Although not Arches, Dead Horse was great, and we made the most of it.

My wife took these two perspective-illusion pictures of me from the top of Dead Horse looking over the canyons. Utah has such wonderful natural features, and it provided an opportunity to mess around with this kind of photography.

We were later rewarded - the governor of Utah worked out a deal to open Arches N.P., so we were able to see the park before we headed back. Go there - it's amazing!
