Christmas 2014 - Let's Make All The Difference In 2015!

Christmas is nearly upon us! I can't believe how quickly it's come around, yes only a few days to go now, time to get those Christmas cards posted, write those letters to your distant friends and relatives and make sure that you have your gifts wrapped and ready for the big day. I know, for so many people, Christmas will be a difficult time, especially this year when it seems that the whole world is in debt or at war and the doom and gloom is deliberately being thrown at us via the media each and every day. Many people are really hard up, many are lonely and so many people are worried about the future. I just wanted to say that Christmas is also a time of hope, a time when people can help each other and a time when communities matter so much. So look around you, notice each other, your neighbours, the people who work in the shops and restaurants, the police officer, the street cleaner, the postman, smile and say "hello". Our gift to each other is to communicate, to care and to see who might need a helping hand or just a chat, because they want to share their day with someone, even for a short while. We've been programmed into believing that we have a world full of coldness, of deceit, of hatred, of spying and of mistrusting each other; Divide and conquer! But we can put things right, each and every one of us, and we can do it by refusing to see each other as an enemy. Take your eyes off of your smart phone, switch that television and computer off and go out and talk to people; Find out we are all the same, no matter where we come from, what status in life we have, or whatever religion we practice, if any; It doesn't matter! The earth has changed, the time we are in is a positive one now and 2015 will be wonderful, but we have work at it. I just want to say, wherever you are on this beautiful planet of ours, united and talking to each other, we can alter everything for the better! Have a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
