This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Those we lost in 2014

    Two Peas in a Pod

We lost two of the greatest people in 2014. My sister Deanna Polovick in March of 2014 to Breast Cancer and my Mother Edna Gilbert in May of 2014 to Atrial Fib/Dementia. They lived together after my Bother in Law Michael Polovick passed and My Father Roy Gilbert left us in 1999. The girls enjoyed life together and helping each other with every little issue that would arise.
When the difficulties of life and age came upon them, we would have to help with their meals, prescriptions, meds, etc. As tough as life got for them, the "Two Peas in a Pod" would not give up or give in to their life threatening problems. They still would joke and laugh at any comical show, remarks and come up with things on their own. Knowing very well that if they were ever separated. They would not last as their "will" to live would leave them. Unfortunately in March 2014 My sister succumbed to cancer and shortly after in May 2014 My Mother at 92 years of age gave in. The great times and memories will never leave me. The Holidays are extremely hard as this was their favorite time of the year and they always shared them with me and my family. A Holiday and Memorial "TOAST" to those "Two Peas in a Pod" With all our love, Jr. and family
