Detroit warms up with hot new cars

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     seandfleming has been going to the Detroit NAIAS since he was a child, and has gone consistently for six years, eager to see what the new vehicles were to be presented to the public.

It was a cold in the “D” this second day of the North American International Auto Show, But inside Cobo Hall the home of the show since 1965 the cars were hot and sizzling.

Lexus Revealed the sleek blue GS-F luxury sports sedan. It has a 5-liter V-8 that spits out 467 horsepower engine.

Infinity introduced it’s Q60 performance coupe which will have a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine. It reminded me of
something that belongs in a James Bond movie.

My favorite of the reveals was the Ram 1500 Rebel Truck. available only as a crew cab with the five-foot-seven-inch bed. Optional for the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel is Chrysler's Hemi 5.7-liter V8 generating 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, also driving through the eight-speed automatic transmission. Rebel buyers selecting the Hemi V8 can choose between four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, as well as two rear-axle ratios: 3.92 or 3.21. This “Monster Truck” should deliver 25 mpg on the highway. The truck was used in the upcoming movie “Monster Trucks” in 2015.

If your looking to purchase a vehicle and are in the Detroit Area from January 17-January 24th this is the place to shop. Instead of driving in the cold and the snow, you can make a one stop and celebrate and admire the newest of vehicles while attending the NAIAS 2015.
