Your message to parents who don’t vaccinate

My son cannot be vaccinated due to medical challenges

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     emilywest says she has struggled for years with the heated vaccination debate. “Being a supporter of vaccines, but then having a child who reacted to vaccine when administering them was very scary,” she said. Her son Brayden cannot be immunized because his immune system cannot fight the vaccines. She says adults who get angry with parents who choose not to vaccinate their children also have to remember that some parents don’t have a choice. West says her family is definitely pro-vaccines and her 9-year-old daughter is up to date with all her shots. “It is always scary as a parent with a child who isn't fully vaccinated. I struggle all the time with the stress of knowing what to do with Brayden,” the Oregon resident said. She hopes that one day she’ll be able to start vaccinating her son again, but until then she urges other parents to help. “We need parents to vaccinate their healthy kids so that my kid has the opportunity to stay healthy as well.”
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

My 6 year old son was unable to continue getting vaccinated even though we are a pro vaccine family. Our 9 year old daughter is fully vaccinated.
My son had severe allergic reactions to every vaccine he received since birth. We were advised by our doctors to first try a different schedule and then completely pulled off being vaccinated at 3 years of age due to severe allergic reactions that continued to occur with any vaccine.
We are a PRO VACCINE family however! Please, please, please, if your child is healthy enough to be vaccinated - then VACCINATE THEM based on a schedule that you prefer.
My child's health becomes more and more endangered when non medically challenged children are not vaccinated.
If your child is healthy and shows no reactions to vaccines- then VACCINATE - using a schedule of your educated choice.
It really sucks living in a state of constant fear for my son.
