    THE MOVEMENT GETS MULTIMEDIA New Documentary about the Green Party and Independent Political Action dispels the many myths and breaks through the barrier of corporate media. 3rd Eye Vision, challenges the two party system and corporate controlled media to address issues of the people. It holds the Democratic and Republican Parties accountable, referencing their past and recent deplorable actions, such as the $850 Billion Wall Street Bailout, the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, and the No Child Left Behind Act. One interviewee sums it up by saying, “The Democrats and Republicans are so rotten that there’s nothing left to spoil.” It encourages viewers to vote for their values and goals, instead of picking the lesser of two evils. This daring documentary was directed by Joe Truss, also an emcee/rapper of the critical hip hop group Some of All Parts. As the title indicates, the aim is to give viewers a different perspective on politics and civic engagement. A play on the 3rd party phrase, +3rd Eye Wisdom, +implores its audience to look beyond the fluff of the Democratic and Republican Parties and to think outside of the box. 3rd Eye Vision brings politics to the people. It features the commentary of actual member of the Green Party, allowing them to define what independent political action means to them. It touches on their journey to and discovery of the green party, as well as what keeps them fighting for justice. They address various myths about the Green Party and correct many assumptions. Do you have questions, criticisms, doubts, skepticism? This is the documentary for you. It is a positive and motivating feature. This provocative documentary, features Matt Gonzalez, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and Rosa Clemente, running for Presidential and Vice Presidential positions in 2008. It fits into the context of election season, yet looks towards the future of Independent Political Action, the Green Party, and social movements. 3rd Eye Wisdom will be great addition to your political documentary collection.
