NYC Muslims React to Chapel Hill Shooting

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     alexpreditor estimated that hundreds turned out to this Valentine's Day rally of Muslims in New York, calling them 'angry but hopeful.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

On February 14, 2015 while much of the world was celebrating love, some were denouncing hate also. In direct response to the Chapel Hill Shooting on February 10, 2015 and the media's coverage of it, NYC Muslims and local groups rallied together outside mainstream media outlets (CNN and FOX) to encourage awareness (and labeling) of hate crimes and their perpetrators. For example - The Ku Klux Klan is the most infamous and oldest of American hate groups.

"What makes you say it's Islamophobia?" I asked "Would you like to share a first hand experience with Islamophobia?" Here are some of the participants' answers.
