How do you spell COLD??? Niagara Falls in the middle of February with a north wind from Siberia via Canada. Temperature so cold you can hardly hold your camera to press the shutter. So cold it takes your breath away. So cold I wondered why I was taking photos here but the scene makes it worth the trek.

Under tons of ice and snow the water rushing from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario cascades over both the American and Canadian falls at Niagara coating everything nearby.

Ice in some parts is almost the height of the falls at 80 to 100 feet thick. With a blue sky in the background it is a spectacular view this time of year, but wear your thermal underwear!!!!!
