Good Friday in Jerusalem's Old City (Part 2)

Today, April 3rd, marks the Christian holiday Good Friday here in Jerusalem and at sundown it also happens to be the first day of Pesach (Passover) in Judaism.

Good Friday commemorates Jesus' journey to Golgotha to be crucified. Thousands of pilgrims took the same path of Jesus down the Via Dolorosa (The Way of Suffering) starting from Station 1 in the Old City.

These pictures were taken at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher this morning where the doors opened at the church at 10:30am for service. Many pilgrims traveled from around the world to attend this special time at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
