    Ceredigion Hustings

In the United Kingdom, a long standing tradition at election time is a hustings. This is where an outside body, not connected with the general election, invites all the nominated candidates to answer questions from anyone and everyone at the meeting on a topic close to the organiser's heart.

Yesterday evening, shortly after the nominations for the general election closed, the Farmer's Union of Wales held a hustings meeting in Aberaeron and all of the six duly nominated candidates attended to answer questions on rural affairs and farming.

There are six duly nominated candidates for this district and they are (in the same order that they will appear in on the ballot paper): Henrietta Hensher (Conservative), James Gethin (United Kingdom Independence Party), Mike Parker (Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales), Huw Thomas (Labour), Daniel Thompson (Green), Mark Wiliams (Liberal Democrat).
