This iReport is part of an assignment:
All aboard the Delta Queen |
1959
I have many fond memories of the Delta Queen, from some of my earlier days in Cincinnati. The first attachment displays a letter written to my father, the first Pipe Major of the Cincinnati Caledonian Pipe Band, for his contribution. In the second, is E.J. Quinby, Chairman of the Board of Greene Line Steamers, at the Calliope, with my father, Pipe Major Al Spivak and the band. Both are gone now, but living as I do in Sacramento, Ca., I have many happy memories as I pass the Queen's twin, the Delta King, which is moored here.
