My company is currently working in Spring, TX for the Hurricane  recovery work. All TX contracts from FEMA were shut down yesterday due to FEMA missing a deadline to either extend or be finished with the contracts. At this point, FEMA is only going to be paying 75% of the cost for the contract, while asking the counties to ante up and pay the additional 25%. 

Knowing how govt has worked in the past, especially with the most outstanding example of Hurricane Katrina and the utter confusion and disarray and total disappointment to the victims of the storm, I find this to be another prime example of the current administration at its worst.

There is still utter devastation and debris littered across the LA and TX landscape. FEMA must now sit down with the county administrators and figure out the next course of action, which will take at least a week, while all the contractors are just sitting around waiting to get the work done so that the state can get back to somewhat working order.

I hope that CNN, who I watch every day and night for the updated news and politics, can shed some light and get the current administration and its lackadaisical approach to hurricane disaster relief to move quickly to get this situation resolved.
