    Texas Bluebonnets Revisited

Stopping on the roadway, on Hwy. 69, between Greenville and Lone Oak, Texas, my family stopped to capture the sights and smells of our state flower. For those who don't know, the bluebonnet has a wonderful fragrance. At the Bluegrass Festival in Ennis, Texas, they sell candles, room fresheners, and other gifts with the fragrance.

Some of you may have seen my iReport last fall, about planting bluebonnet seeds in my back yard. It was a bust, because of much rain this Spring, and the seeds didn't germinate, so I had to drive out into the country to find them. These were incredibly beautiful, as you can see. Hope you get a little feel for how this Texan feels around April each year - full of joy!
