    Nationwide DOJ Review of Police

A review of the Baltimore Police department for Civil Rights violations is just scratching the surface. The constitutional rights of African Americans are routinely violated by police all over this nation. There is an innate hostility towards black people that stems from a residual slave owner mentality. This attitude does not disipate by issuing a badge an a gun to another human being. To suggest that there's no racist animus in white police officers suggest delusion of utopia. I would never suggest that America has not made huges strides in race relation, but we have to be sincere to our current problems.  There are those who imply that we must show equal attention to black on black crime. The black community should not be held accountable for black on black crime anymore than the white community is for white on white crime. The public servants paid with taxpayers dollars cannot be compared to the criminal element in any community.  Police are trained in every aspect of their jobs and must be held to a higher standard frome any civilian.  We should support them with the difficult task of policing high crime areas.  We should also hold them accountable, and not make rediculous excuses to justify the use of deadly force.

The job of the police is to protect and serve, not to be judge, jury, and executioner on our nation streets. Prosecutors and judges must not accept the police version of events without question. It they don't the system would then deprive itself of the right to use the term "justice." The guilty must be punished and the innocent must be set free.

It is hyptocrital to lecture the rest of the world about our laws and human rights when those laws are subverted and applied selectively. Murder, assult, terrorist threats, are against the law.  Those laws also applies to the police and they must be held accountable when they violate them.
