    Teen Weight Loss

Hi my name is Adam. At the end of my grade 9 in High school, I decided it was time for me to lose some weight. I have always been over weight. but, I was one of the lucky ones that wasn't bullied in school. I was never pressured by friends or family to lose weight.
One day I realized I wasn't living the life a 14year old should be living, I never went swimming, I never went on rides at the fairs, I never had sleepover. I was missing out on alot.
I was a 310 pound 14 year old that needed help, and to start my life.
I educated myself on the healthy choices in life. My parents got me a treadmill, which when I started, could only do 10 mins at a speed of 2.5 and cut out all of my snacks and pop.. Over the next few months the weight started to come off, and my exercise changed as well. I also changed my diet. I added an exercise bike to my exercise plan. Once I had lost 80lbs. I had the confidence and wanted to join a gym. My parents signed me up and thought it necessary to have a personal trainer to make sure I was doing things the proper way. Over the next 4 months I lost another 50lbs. I have continued to build my home gym up and now continue my exercise program at home. I've lost a total of 161lbs and feeling great!! My next step is to decide about skin removal. The extra skin is now making running impossible due to the pain its causing me.
I hope this story helps to inspire other teens trying to get in good physical condition. and to lead a life of healthy choices.
