Dueling demonstrations: KKK, Black Panther Party collide

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Photojournalist Kenny Holston captured the scene of two dueling demonstrations being held in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 18. The Ku Klux Klan and the New Black Panther Party held rallies on the steps of the South Carolina State House, according to Holston. "The demonstrating groups nearly went head-to-head as both rallies concluded," he said. Situation became extremely tense as both sides were visibly agitated by the other's presence. “It was sad to see violence begin to break out during the protests. I feel these are fragile and scary times for our nation," he said.
