    Your questions for Sen. McCain

    More from Nwanze

$250k/yr with 40% tax or $100k/yr with zero tax?

The Obama campaign has been repeatedly attacked for and accused of wanting to redistribute wealth. The root of this has been the suggestion that people making over $250,000 (about $4807 a week) should pay more tax than the average American that make far less than that.

Does Senator McCain really think that wealth should be controlled by just a few people like the CEOs, lobbists, Wall Street "this-and-thats"? It is easy to see why somebody that does not know how many houses he owns will do everything to protect fellow members of the "big boys club".

Senator McCain has called Senator Obama all kinds of names. He has thrown a whole lot of mud on the wall hoping that some will stick. Unfortunately, these are all strategies of a man who has no effective plans of his own or whose plans lack any traction. The truth of the matter is that Senator Obama has plans that will benefit the ordinary folks that have no worries about paying more income tax because they make over $250,000 a year. As a matter of fact, I will rather make $250,000 a year and pay 40% in taxes ($100,000) than make $100,000 a year and not pay any tax at all.

We, the people, most of who are still under the $250k a year income level are solidly behind Senator Obama. Fortunately, we are more in number than the those making over $4800 a week and not willing to pay their own due of taxes.
