    A Midsummer´s Night

Today I will meet Lexi (Lexi Marshdevil) and her partner Particle Tom (TomFlo123 Resident) in the virtual world of Second Life presenting stills from their upcoming performance “A Midsummer´s Night”. Under the virtual brand “Sky Fire” Tom & Lexi performed some of the most amazing shows in virtual realms as a team grown over the years in different directions combing their expertise. The last show I watched was “The Legend of the White Rock” for which I made a short and simple video you may watch on Youtube at https://youtu.be/AbAaOkrKwzY

Strange memories will come up as Tom & Lexi have been at my Last Supper with my editors Jami Mills and Friday Blaisdale on June 30, 2015. The last day of the existence of my art -- I went to a cold sleep after. There are 12 awakenings planned for the benefit of Relay of Life until I am ready to come back to the scene – and tomorrow will be one of it. As usual I will be guided by a nurse who monitors my heart beats and carries the equipment so my life signal are kept stable --  just for short. But it will give visitors enough time to watch out for another first sighting of Art Blue to claim the money for the Relay of Life I carry with me. I already posted as an iReport that the Community of Second Life has become one of the biggest money collectors in cancer research donating it all to the Relay.

Cassie Parker (nanki Hendes) will keep me company as my personal nurse. I chose her wisely as she is well aware of the challenges in performing art shows in virtual realms as well as in real worlds where she earns her living as a stage producer. To learn from each other is one of the key points that people socialize in 3D worlds, are walking around, chatting, making friends and work together on realizing a dream. So it came that Lexi once flew in my gallery in spiral curves up to the sky offering me support on my mission of an art curator. The wings of an angel made me smile as Lexi asked for music fitting to her drifts. I thought how can it work to bring particles into a body, to create life of an avatar by sole particles not by having a skin, to let particles become the heart of a virtual existence. Now I am a ghost made of particles and glowing prims needing the support of a nurse. This way I can show proof that particles have life at least for some minutes until the render engine overheats in a binary world.

Nothing new that life comes with particles for Particle Tom. He goes by this name now for ages. I remember once sitting in a row of chairs arranged in a spherical staircase and could not see the screen where Tom´s particle should be. I asked my neighbour what to do as all said, “oh wow, amazing, true unbelievable, claps, claps …”. The person said something I don’t remember, but finally I saw it and I knew I will keep on going to watch the development. And there is a huge one. Always you think it can´t go further, better it can´t be done. Then the next performance of Tom & Lexi happens and you are again speechless.

Nowadays in some performances the screen is everywhere, it gets focused on you, just press ESC.  You are in the middle, you immerse in the show. That’s why particle artists and choreographers love to work together. Tom and Lexi found their way to let their creativity gloom to make you smile on a Midsummer´s Night.

Lexi about their mission: "Sky Fire is Lexi Marshdevil and Particle Tom with a little help from our friends. Our goal is the fusion of creative instincts, spiritual beliefs and artistic sensibilities. We are dedicated to bringing a fresh collection of ideas and particles into Second Life."

Come to the Grand Opening at the Art Gallery at Roissy Val duOise on Saturday, Sept. 5th at 11.00 PM PDT which is 19.00 GMT London time and see Tom & Lexi presenting about 20 stills of their upcoming performances. You may send an instant message to the curator of the Gallery Juliette (SurrealDreaming Resident) to get a teleport or further information.
