    SEO VS Social Media Marketing

It’s no mystery that owners of successful businesses are paying huge and outrageous amounts to have their web pages developed. These amounts are sometimes over thousands of dollars. However, this exploitation is usually because the owners are not familiar with the concept of web development. Web development is a demanding and challenging field, however, many people are either being over or underpaid. When the owners finally get their desired website developed after spending heaps of money, the real question arises. Where to get the traffic from? How will the public find this site?

An outstanding strategy is required for marketing. One of the best is perhaps Social Media Marketing. This marketing technique is just basically promoting your business on different forums and social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. For accomplishing this, regular attention towards the material that is posted is fundamental and holds a great deal of significance. The building of the page should be genuine and organic. Organic followers mean that all the followers should be earned not bought. Do not try to buy followers. Many companies buy followers to boost their SEO. But these followers are mainly just bots that are softwares and computer generated accounts. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization that means that regular content update and enough followers will bring your page’s rank higher in searches. Having followers from far-away areas will push your page to that region, meaning that it shall be difficult to find for people not in that certain region. However, the downside of this marketing technique is that it requires a great deal of concentration and time. Updating your blog or page rarely like once a week or once a month will not do any good. Regular posts are necessary and this is what will boost your customer base, allowing you to raise your SEO rank.

But, another very complicated aspect is, all the social media sites that will hold your content, neglecting one can result in a huge traffic drop. All sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Youtube and Google+) should be given equivalent importance. Most businesses do not recognize the necessity of Social Media in the success of their business. What they actually believe is that having a website for your business will boost it, which is extremely wrong. The concept of SEO is however complicated and complex, it is interpreted differently by different people. The simple meaning is the more visits you get, the more visitors you will get from Search Engines. To get the visits, two basic aspects are to be taken care of, the content and the backlinks. The content is the quality of the material that has been posted on your website and social media pages. The backlinks, on the other hand are the traffic taken from other reliable and trustworthy sites.
