    Pope Francis visits U.S.

    Miracle Photos

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sarah Nelms was only able to take two photos of Pope Francis on Thursday in Washington, but she came out with the perfect shot when the Pope looked right at her lens.

“While I was waiting for him at the parade, I could feel my stomach twisting in knots of excitement as the time to see him grew near. But what I felt when I actually saw him was very different than what I expected,” said Nelms, a 25-year-old paralegal. “When he turned and looked my way, I felt that my knees were going to give out. My breath was taken away … I felt a sense of peace come over me, one unlike I've ever felt before. It was an experience that I will never, ever forget.”
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

I braved the crowds to see Pope Francis yesterday at the parade. I was only able to get two shots (literally) as he passed by, but man, am I glad this one turned out. There were a few tears shed when I saw this picture and noticed that he was looking towards my camera. What a blessing.
