4-year old girl brutally raped in India - My question to the Indian government

A 4-year-old girl has been raped in India today. This is one of many, many cases that happen in India each year but what I find so disappointing, and what makes me so angry, is that the government in absolutely silent on the very serious issue of sexual violence in the country.

Earlier this year, a Nepali woman was brutally raped, mutilated and killed. We also had another case of a girl raped on a bus. Today, there is a 4- year old child, who has been raped and left with severe injuries. To every such case, the government’s response is establishing “stricter” laws to curb sexual violence but I’m afraid this won’t do. The government has failed in implementing these laws. In fact - here’s a question that I want to pose to the Indian government. Instead of just working towards digital access for everyone, how about a safe India where citizens, men, women and children, can live their lives without fear? Or is it that human lives do not fit a political agenda?
