The Art of Storytelling at NYCC

As heroes and villains reside within their drawn and written pages, they also live in the hearts of their fandom. A massive range of stories, that breathe life to a world of action and drama, are well represented throughout the convention halls of NY ComicCon.

From comic pages to saga chapters to folk tales, we are reminded of the power that lies between narrative lines. The heroic force of Iron Man is coupled with a USO (Captain America) girl, resounding in their crusade of courage and honor. Characters from the Lord of the Rings are massive in stature and presence. Region specific inhabitants of the Game of Thrones uphold the details of their tale. The lore of Thor and Loki exhibit the conflict of Asgardian family reunions, and the new Batman create audience curiosity. Graduates of Hogwarts also have the opportunity to display their endowment of magic.

Exclusives were provided at panels, and Once Upon a Time revealed the following:
    - We will see the very first Dark One in this season.
    - Henry’s romance will break your heart.
    - Mulan, Ruby and Merida will have their own episode.
    - Hook’s father has been cast and he will have an arc with the Evil Queen.

With artists and writers present at NYCC, a treasure cove of talent is available and writer/producers such as Marc Abbott can be found, as he stands at a booth with the Horror Writers Association.

These highly cherished stories are in good company.
