Jay Leno in 360 at Volvo’s 60th Anniversary

Meeting and seeing Jay Leno live was the highlight of many at Volvo’s 60th Anniversary Celebration on the New York Street backlot at Paramount Studios.

Jay Leno has long been known as a car enthusiast while he was hosting “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Jay Leno’s Garage” and is one of the more sought after personalities when it comes to cars.

Greeted initially by Volvos at Griffith Observatory, guests saw a Volvo car showcase featuring Volvos throughout the years parked on the streets of New York. It was an evening of discovery beginning with a lemonade stand by Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a foundation for Childhood Cancer with Volvo being a founding sponsor.

If you have an appreciation for cars as art or history, there was the Volvo Art Gallery and Volvo Cars History Museum and a Volvo XC90 display.

Reminding one of the early years of Volvo coming to North America in 1955 were large lit images of famed architectural photographer Julius Shulman who also grew in popularity at the same period of time. Parting remembrances besides an unforgettable evening with Jay Leno, was a Julius Shulman print which transforms from a Volvo from years past to the XC90.

This was shot with a 360 VR camera and its panorama version is included. Mr Leno is the one that people are rushing to shoot with their cell phones.
