At the risk of sounding like I'm picking on Sarah Palin I'll avoid any confusion by admiting that's exactly what I'm doing. It's amazing how when a ship is sinking rather than work together for the survival of everyone there is always someone who will do whatever they can to survive, even if it sacrifices the other members of the crew. Right now the U.S.S McCain is taking on water and Sarah Palin has managed to find the only lifeboat that doesn't have any holes in it. Only time will tell if her appeal to the Republican base can lead to a future position of any significance. Of course if by some strange allignment of the planets she should happen to become VP it will be interesting to see how she functions in a McCain administration. The Cartoonist in me would appreciate the chaos but the American in me really doesn't want to see that happen.
