    Rocky Horror Picture Show and Tim Curry honored in Halloween Largest Street Party in West Hollywood


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     montebubbles attended this 40th anniversary event: 'It was all the luck in the timing. By the time I worked myself to the stage it was starting. It was pure luck that I was able to get Tim Curry. He made the Rocky Horror Picture Show what it was. Boy George was an added treat.'

    Boy George, Tim Curry, Laverne Cox and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” celebrated 40 years and West Hollywood celebrated its 30 year anniversary with nearly 500,000 people in Halloween’s largest street party in West Hollywood, Halloween Carnaval 2015. Just for the night, West Hollywood is one of the top 10 largest cities in the State of California.

    Tim Curry was named and presented as West Hollywood’s honorary mayor and given a key to the city during the Halloween Carnaval 2015.

    Laverne Cox was introduced as the new Dr. Frank-n-Furter, who was originally played by Tim Curry.

    Boy George performed some of his best well known songs on stage “Karma Chameleon”, “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?”, “My God” for over half an hour.

    The iconic song “Time Warp” from cult favorite “Rocky Horror Picture Show” was played and danced concurrently from 5 different stages. It is still a popular show for midnight showings were people dress up and bring their lighters.

    Crowds of people come out to see the amazing costumes in what is known as the craziest, cleanest and always memorable of Halloween parties with music and entertainment in the nearly 1 miles closed off stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard, which is part of Historic Route 66.
