    Strange Object In The Sky

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GlennFreeman got this video in Covina, Californnia: 'This event happened while walking to the local Smart and Final grocery store on Saturday evening. On Friday or Saturday nights there is frequent police activity in the area and we are used to seeing police helicopters, so I try to be alert if walking alone at night. As I was walking in the parking lot towards the store I was glancing upward and saw a light come on. It looked unusual because it pointed at me initially then turned away and appeared to be a spotlight in fog... but I could see stars... very confusing. I really didn't think it was a UFO, but thought of military (as in attack or defense of an attack). I started to shake and tried to get my cell phone camera ready but couldn't open the cover and started to fumble with the controls. After I got the light in view it must have gone on for another 15 seconds or so. The funny thing is that at the very end as it disappeared, there was a soft glow as it fanned out and faded away. Later, reports from the press said that it was a Trident submarine test launch from the coast. We are about 60 miles inland and it did not appear to be coming that far to the west. We frequently see launches from Vandenberg, but they are very low in the sky. This was very high and did not look like it came from the Pacific Ocean!'

I was in the Smart and Final parking lot and we are used to seeing police helicopters with their spotlights on... and that's what I thought it was. It looked like a spotlight and pointed right at me then turned away and moved to the west. The funny thing is that it looked like a spotlight in the fog.... but I could see stars! Then it moved away toward the west fairly high in the sky. I've seen missiles from Vandenburg, but they are very low in the sky and towards the north-west. This light moved for about 20 seconds and then softly exploded and faded away. Pretty scary considering all the stuff going on in the world today!
