Four years ago, those who were new to Snellville, Georgia, experienced the old Almanac saying ringing through last night, "If you do not like the weather today, just wait until tomorrow, or the next four year." Something like that or so?
One thing that is for sure, the weather and the Snellville City Council has finally changed.
"The Monday swearing in of Snellville, Ga. new city council, was like the falling leaves off the big oak trees. Make sure to wear a coat, because the changes of political direction, can give you a cold, if you are not prepared for it", acknowledges, Tom Livsey, Topix National News Editor.
He adds, "It was a great turnout. The keys were passed from former Mayor Kelly Krautz, to present Mayor, Tom Witts. She was very respectful. It became official, once he put his hand on a borrowed Bible. Tom Witts is the Mayor of Snellville,Ga.
The residents of the city voted and the winner has been sworn in on Monday, November 9, 2015. It was standing room only once the torch was passed.
The crowd screamed and shouted with excitement and anticipation for changes the residents felt the City needs for the future.
Also sworn in were City Council Dave Emanuel re-elect, and new comers, Roger Marmol, along with Cristy Lenski.
Opportunity for citizens' involvement will be welcomed without being 'Out Of Order'.
