Breaking News!!! Ayers and Dohrn's Book Prairie Of Fire, Dedicated to Kennedy's Killer!!!

    Thursday, 30 October 2008

Ayers & Dohrn dedicated book to Sirhan Sirhan (among others)

KOL HAKAVOD to zombietime for putting together this amazing essay on William Ayers' forgotten communist manifesto
This essay is only about William Ayers' past and present political views. It is not about the connection between Barack Obama and William Ayers. That issue has been covered (and continues to be covered) elsewhere in innumerable news reports and blog postings. Yet as evidence mounts of the extensive and long-standing connection between Obama and Ayers, making their association more and more difficult to deny, Obama's campaign and supporters have started shifting their strategy; +Sure, they say, Obama may have had a connection with Ayers, but why is that so bad? Look at William Ayers now: He's a completely respectable man. What -- he protested against the Vietnam War?
So did everyone. He's no extremist+. I see these arguments made in countless blog posts, comment sections, and even news articles. This essay exists to stop that political escape route. from the book: bq. PRAIRIE FIRE is based on a belief that the duty of a revolutionary is to make the revolution. This is not an abstraction. It means that revolutionaries must make a profound commitment to the future of humanity, apply our limited knowledge and experience to understand an ever-changing situation, organize the masses of people and build the fight. It means that struggle and risk and hard work and adversity will become our way of life, that the only certainty will be constant change...
We have only begun. At this time, the unity and consolidation of anti-imperialist forces around a revolutionary program is an urgent and pressing strategic necessity. PRAIRIE FIRE is offered as a contribution to this unity of action and purpose. Now it is in your hands.

For the Weather Underground You MUST READ the whole thing -- especially if you are a Jewish Democrat who loved Bobby Kennedy. Zombie has scans of the dedication page, which does indeed include Bobby Kennedy's palestinian murderer, Sirhan Sirhan
If I were among the enemedia elite, I would ask members of the Kennedy family what they think of Obama's association with Bill Ayers. But I'm not, and anyway, the answer would most certainly be that such questions will not be tolerated. Readers will note that Prairie Fire is not the same Ayers book that Barack Obama reviewed and praised. That was The Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court, published in 1997 by Beacon Press: bq. Nor should either of these books be confused with the one to which Bill Ayers, his brother Rick Ayers (who blogs at Huffington Post), his wife Bernadine Dohrn and Jesse Jackson all contributed: Zero Tolerance - Resisting the Drive for Punishment
"Resisting zero tolerance is today's fundamental civil-rights issue," writes Bernadine Dohrn in this collection of articles that attacks the "one strike you're out" approach to school discipline that has recently gained wide acceptance.
In their introduction, the editors argue passionately that zero tolerance promotes fear and racial prejudice, further marginalizes individuals, and increases societal violence; the articles themselves, from professors, administrators, and activists, offer chilling examples that support their theories....
There are no biographical notes about the contributors, and readers may wish more viewpoints were represented. But whether they agree with the editors' politics or not, readers will come away from this passionately argued collection feeling informed, saddened, angry, and motivated to learn more. learn more.
