Voting problems |
Young American Voters
Yesterday, it was reported (on CNN and others) that the ‘Young American’ demographic wasn’t showing up at the polls during the early voting. It was presented that this would hinder Obama, as many votes for him are thought to come from this demographic.
I went to vote this afternoon and at least 50%, probably well over, were students. The University of West Georgia, where I am a Graduate Student, bussed students from campus to the early voting polls. I took some pictures of the students I saw today.
It was great to see because this town is typically quite Red and I’d assume many of the young voters who were at the polls today with me were voting Blue. They are most certainly a factor in Georgia’s lean towards Obama!
Young American voters should not be overlooked! We will come out! WE ARE!

The pictures include:
-A student returning to the bus (back to campus) after voting.
-The line outside the building waiting to vote – of students!
-Part of one of the indoor lines, full of students as well
