Quake rocks Central Illinois
I woke up and heard rolling noises; I thought maybe we were having
a tornado or really bad storm. My dog and cat had come into the
room. Then I realized it was not a tornado becasue the windows were
open and I could not hear the warning system. I looked at the clock
and it was just after 4:30 CT. The noises stopped and I rolled over
and fell back to sleep. At 6:30 I got up and flipped on Morning
Express in time to hear Robin say that a quake had hit Southern
Illinois. I thought to myself that one reason I was glad to leave
the West was because of the chance for an earthquake...I never
thought it would happen here!
