Thanks to everyone for all their helpful comments on my previous two iReport postings where I shared why I had been undecided and now I will share whom I decided to vote for and why. Most of my family and friends are spread out throughout Florida and we simply kept on flip-flopping: going from McCain to Obama and vice versa. As nearly all of us made up our minds this past weekend, we were quite surprised to learn that with the exception of a couple of family members, we mostly arrived at the same conclusion: McCain I personally, started with Hillary, then went with McCain, then Obama and finally decided to go with McCain in the very end. Our unanimous reasons: #1) Cannot afford risking our country's future to an inexperienced leader (BTW, that's why I supported Hillary over Obama in the beginning - we know who Hillary is and her solid experience, despite disagreeing on her stand on several issues) #2) To some degree, the press and the media have given Obama a free pass on almost anything he says, e.g., Ayers link was not necessary debunked (deemed as "Mostly True" by PolitiFact) and yet media chose to not look into that further. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/379/ http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/351/ Ultimately, we all agreed with Hillary that she and McCain will "bring a lifetime of experience... but Obama will bring a speech he gave in 2002..." #4) Obama, Pelosi, Reid - extreme leftist control? We simply cannot afford to go more LEFT than has already happened with the Pelosi-controlled Congress. I took the day off to make sure my vote counts. Please, no matter who you vote for, get out and vote. I am heading out right now. Best of luck to all.
