    ADA Discrimination at Obama Rally

Back on Oct Th I attended a Barack Obama rally in Saint Louis under the Majestic Gateway Arch. I have a heart condition and Muscular Dystrophy and ask no pleaded for a reasonable accommodation so that I would not have to walk 1 1/2 mile around the Arch Grounds and up the steps in front of the Arch from the riverfront with 100lbs of gear. I was told by the Secret Service that since I was a member of the press that I did not have American With Disability Act rights. I also interviewed a couple of other people who encountered discrimination due to their disabilities. This kind of behavior can not be allowed to continue. I tried to get a comment front the Obama campaign office in Chicago and just got a so so apology from the person that answered the phone. Needless to say I was not happy that I didn't get an e-mail or call back from the campaign especially from a supporter. I did sit on this till this evening because I did not want to give the Republicans anything to use against Obama.
