Reaction from the Brass Monkey Bar, Taipei City, Taiwan
I stepped into Taipei's expatriate bar, the Brass Monkey, for worldwide reaction to today's historic U.S. election. You'll see that reaction was overwhelmingly pro-Obama, including takes form a French, Algerian, Italian, and a quartet of young Americans abroad. I thought the Algerian, who is a Muslim, summed up the mood of the place best by stating, "For me, no race, no religion, just human[s] in this world."
