This iReport is part of an assignment:
Obama makes history |
Campain Of Tears (Whats Next)
Truly a Historic night im happy to say i know i made the right decision.
Yet i know i need to remind people that this is not the end it is the Beginning.
I need to express that while the majority of the African Americans (including myself) voted for Obama we did not do it alone. It took the combine efforts of Caucasion, Hispanic and Asian voters so while we may be proud we need to remember he is all of our President.
Next while that speech brought tears to my eyes as well as my mother and Grandmother, both President Obama and Senator Mccain said that we Had to be One: One Nation, The United States. So i urge everyone to set aside your differences and help accomplish President Obamas first request as President.
To everyone who didnt vote for Obama i hope you can get past this and see what everyone else see's in Obama and i hope you will also try to give him a chance as I would have given Sen. McCain a chance if he was President.
Also i would like to say while i am an 18 yr old African American living in Georgia who voted for Obama, I hope next election to play a more active role in the election and maybe getting Georgia to be a Battleground State.
I will leave with saying this, Greatness is in the making i don't pretend to be unaware of it and instead of running against the tide i will go with the flow until someting unexpected happens where i can rise up and voice my opinion. This is one of those times.
