I feel the Obama's should get a Labrabor Retriever  or Lab mix and choose a rescue dog/puppy that needs a good home. What better home then the White House.

From a political stand point the Lab is the number one dog in American so many American's will like seeing the First Dog be a Lab. Labs are great with kids, loyal, and very eager to please, lovable and intelligent. Maybe Cesear Millan could do a show about training the dog for the Dog Whisper, that would be great.

I recommend the name be Abe in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who was one of the greatest Presidents in History. Also, from Illionis. He led our country through a historical difficult time and we are again at a time in this country where history will reflect on this time of troubles and President Obama will leads us through.

Another name suggestions is "Fido" Abraham Lincoln had a dog named Fido in 1855 which was a retriever/sheperd mix.

As you can see I am an Abraham Lincoln fan. Whatever their choice is dog they will enjoy all the loyalty and love they provide.
